About
Our Story
In July 1987, Hayes E. Treasure founded Community Living Care (CLC), a private nonprofit corporation, in response to an identified need for services for people with Intellectual Disabilities.
By 1988, CLC opened the doors to our first community home providing residential services to three people with Intellectual Disabilities. The founder envisioned a long-term dedication to promoting and enabling community membership for people across their life span. Since its founding and incorporation in 1991, this organization has continued to expand and respond to community need.
Who We Are
Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) pride themselves on maintaining high standards of consumer care, promoting choice and independence for those we support, and encouraging social, emotional,
and spiritual growth.
The DSPs employed in each of our programs possess a valid driver’s license, criminal clearances, and a minimum of 24 hours of annual training specific to their duties.
Each DSP is educated in the support plan designed for each service recipient.
What We Do
CLC provides a variety of service options dependent on your preferred lifestyle and interests.
We offer provision of care at your place of residence as needed, 24-hour residential care at one of our community homes, community participation supports (CPS) at our day programs, community-based supports, and transportation to and from some services.
No matter which model you choose we provide services focused on a fully enriched life of family, friends, and community.
