This satellite program is an extension of the Greensburg Community Living Care Inc. family of services. All referrals to this program mirror the format currently utilized at the Greensburg facility. It is a licensed program provided to individuals who have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation and are 18 years or older. At the ATF, people develop, maintain or improve skills through their participation in a variety of everyday activities that are of interest to them. These activities are provided either in-house or in the community at large.
Community Living Care intends to forge a relationship with the local business community and provide the opportunity for local businesses to come to our program to partner with and educate our participants. It is also our hope to establish a volunteer program whereby our participants can function and interact with businesses and members of the community, as well as provide opportunities for local students to explore their interests in the field of human services. Another facet of our program is for the families of persons with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide assistance and relief to those family members of persons with disabilities, as well as education and support in methods to obtain services. Transportation services provided through our established transportation program will also be available to people interested in attending the program.
The open house was a success!
Over 100 people attended the open house, enjoying food fun and music.
Hayes E. Treasure gave a short speech detailing the project status as well as handing out thank you's.
Hayes also included a dedication of the building in the name of Todd Page.
A memorial stone was erected at the site and dedicated to Todd, while his parents where in attendance.
Thank you to all of those who helped in getting this ready as well as the guests who took time out of their busy schedules to attend.
Congratulations Pens!
